Job summary

OFGeM is seeking a Digital Business Analyst (Data & AI Projects) to join our Digital, Data and Security Services portfolio. You will analyse business needs, data challenges and operational processes to shape data-enabled products and services that improve outcomes for colleagues and consumers.

You will bridge business and technical teams, ensuring alignment with governance and regulatory requirements while delivering value through data and AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven BA in digital, data and technology projects.
• Experience with Agile business analysis approaches.
• BCS Practitioner Certificate or equivalent.
• Strong data concepts knowledge (quality, metadata, lineage, integration, modelling).
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and translate needs into actionable requirements.

Responsibilities

• Undertake research to understand how business areas operate with a focus on data, processes, systems and technology.
• Ensure new data products, services and process changes meet business needs and align with strategic objectives.
• Assess impact of data, governance, security and regulatory constraints on data usage and design.
• Work within architectural guidelines and governance frameworks to support scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data challenges and design user-centred solutions.
• Translate business and user needs into clear, testable requirements.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams through discovery, design, development and testing.
• Lead BA activities on small to medium data projects and contribute to larger programmes.
