Job summary

Sonata Software in London is seeking a hands-on Data & AI Architect to win and deliver engagements with UK and European clients. You will shape solutions, then lead the architecture of the engagements you helped sell, working at the center of the Microsoft partnership.

Most work runs on Azure, Microsoft Fabric and Copilot; you will also design on AWS, Snowflake and Databricks when the client's estate requires it.

Qualifications

12+ years in data and analytics; 5+ years as architect.
Strong pre-sales and delivery experience in a consultancy or Microsoft partner.
Led at least two large data platform programmes (£2m+).
Implemented GenAI or ML solutions in production.
Experience working across UK/Europe with C-level stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead discovery workshops with CXOs and data leaders to identify high-value use cases.
Design target-state architectures for data platforms, analytics and AI.
Own technical responses to RFPs/RFIs: design, estimates, risks, and commercial inputs.
Build PoCs, demos and pilots (Fabric, Azure AI Foundry, Copilot).
Guide migrations and modernization of legacy platforms to cloud.
Mentor architects and engineers; contribute to hiring for the practice.
Collaborate with Microsoft, AWS, Snowflake and Databricks partner teams in the UK.
