The Dance Science Lecturer will be a key part of the BA (Hons) in Classical Ballet and Dance Performance teaching team. They will have oversight of the dance science and healthy dancer curriculum that students study as part of the degree programme. They will endeavour to personalise learning for students, ensuring all students make good progress. They will be excited at the prospect of shaping the next generation of ballet dancers, engendering an understanding of good physical, mental and professional health. They will share their expert subject knowledge with our students, bringing learning alive and helping students to enjoy learning. Applicants must hold PGCE, PGCertHE or QTS attained through a University teacher training provider.
Contract: Fixed-term, self-employed contract from September 2026 to April 2027
Salary: £35 per hour (teaching), £22 per hour (marking)
Hours: Teaching is scheduled on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings (8:30am – 11:30am or 8:30am – 12:30pm). Please note there is no flexibility as to when teaching can be delivered, so applicants should ensure they are available for the requested mornings.
