Job summary

A local authority client is seeking an experienced Damp & Mould Surveyor to join their Repairs and Maintenance team in York. This temporary role offers a pay rate of £22.21 per hour for a Monday to Friday schedule, totaling 37 hours a week. Responsibilities include conducting detailed surveys for damp and mould issues, managing cases from start to finish, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Ideal candidates will have experience in building surveying, strong communication skills, and ideally hold relevant technical qualifications.

Qualifications

• Experience in building surveying in social housing.

Responsibilities

• Inspect homes and identify maintenance needs.
• Conduct damp and mould assessments as per Awaab's Law.
• Manage cases from start to finish and provide updates.
• Oversee contractor work ensuring compliance.
• Maintain accurate documentation and photographic evidence.
