The UK Damage Department plays a critical role in protecting our fleet and ensuring fair, consistent handling of all vehicle damage across the UK. As a Damage Agent, you will take full ownership of damage cases end to end, combining analytical thinking, sound judgement, and a strong customer mindset to deliver results.

This is a part-time position (20 hours per week) with a hybrid working arrangement, split 60% in the office and 40% working from home.

What you’ll do

Claims Management & Ownership: Take responsibility for investigating, managing, and monitoring all vehicle damage claims from start to finish. This includes initial file handling, quality checks, complaint management, and supporting new customer implementations, ensuring cases are handled efficiently and to a high standard.

Liability Decision-Making: Review claims thoroughly to identify quality or contractual issues and make clear, confident decisions on liability. Escalate complex cases including breach of contract, insurance-related claims, and fatalities in line with SIXT policies and governance.

Invoicing & Commercial Accuracy: Raise accurate and timely invoices in accordance with customer contracts, ensuring all charges are justified, transparent, and compliant with SIXT standards.

Debt Recovery & Resolution: Actively follow up with customers on outstanding balances and bad debt, working collaboratively and professionally to achieve resolution while protecting SIXT’s commercial interests.

Qualifications

What you’ll need to succeed

Experience: A minimum of 24 months’ experience in claims handling, damage management, insurance, or a similarly analytical and process-driven role.

Performance-Driven Delivery: Comfortable working to strict SLAs and KPIs in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment, with a strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and results.

Analytical & Learning Agility: Highly analytical with strong attention to detail. An agile learner who can quickly adapt to new systems, processes, and contractual frameworks.
