Job description
About the job Daily Nanny - West Dulwich

Location: West Dulwich, London

Schedule: 35 hours per week during term time; 45 hours per week during school holidays (some flexibility required)

Salary: Up to £40,000 gross per annum, doe

Start Date: Ideally mid-January 2026

A family in West Dulwich are seeking an active, engaging and capable nanny to care for their three children: two girls aged 6 and 4, and a little boy aged 2. Their previous nanny was with them for five years, followed by their current nanny of 14 months who is leaving to pursue another career. The family hope to find someone who will become a long-term and valued part of their childrens lives.

Term time hours total approx. 35 per week, with the core working pattern as follows:

  • Monday: 4/5 hours in the afternoon

School holiday hours may increase to 45 per week, typically:

The two older girls attend the same nearby school and are bright and inquisitive children who love reading and thrive with a nanny who is engaging and able to support early homework or reading practice as well as have fun playing imaginary games! The school run is by bicycle and takes just 6 minutes therefore, a nanny who is confident cycling is essential.

The youngest will start local nursery in February, though he will continue to spend three full days with the nanny each week. He enjoys active mornings, local classes, park visits and playful home learning. Days typically include mornings spent with the little one - breakfast, a morning activity, lunch, followed by a two-hour nap (2-4pm) whilst the nanny can prep dinner before collecting the girls from school. Once home, the children enjoy early dinner, playtime, reading and bath time, with the nanny finishing at 6/6.30pm and handing bedtime over to the parents.

The family employ a housekeeper, who also manages the children's laundry, but the nanny will be responsible for preparing the children's dinner and managing all nursery duties. They have a gentle Shetland Sheepdog, so you should be comfortable around pets.

Although not essential, some travel may be required on their family holidays, typically Spain or Portugal in August, which the family have historically enjoyed sharing with their nanny. Mum occasionally travels quarterly for work, so the ability to offer stability and consistency during these periods is valued.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a caring, energetic nanny who enjoys imaginative play, creating structure and supporting a busy young family.
