Overview
An established Microsoft Gold Partner with over 30 years’ experience in delivering Microsoft solutions is seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 Business Central Presales / Solution Architect to support continued growth following the successful acquisition by a Microsoft Partner of the Year 2025 organisation.
Due to the award of multiple multi-million-pound projects and a strong pipeline of future work, the business is expanding its presales function. The role will play a critical part in driving new business by positioning Dynamics 365 Business Central as the optimal solution for prospective customers across a range of industries, with a particular focus on retail.
Role & Responsibilities
As a Dynamics 365 Business Central Presales / Solution Architect, you will work closely with the sales, delivery, and technical teams to support the full sales lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the technical and functional authority for Dynamics 365 Business Central throughout the presales process.
- Collaborating with the sales team to understand customer objectives, pain points, and business requirements.
- Conducting in-depth discovery and consultation sessions with prospective clients to analyse existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Designing and articulating end-to-end Business Central solutions, including core financials, supply chain, retail, and related modules.
- Preparing and delivering high-quality, tailored presentations and demonstrations that clearly communicate the value of Business Central.
- Translating complex functional and technical concepts into clear, compelling business-focused messaging.
- Supporting the creation of proposals, solution designs, estimates, and quotations, ensuring accuracy and commercial viability.
- Providing expert guidance during the sales cycle, addressing technical queries, risks, and objections from customers.
- Working closely with delivery teams to ensure solutions proposed during presales are achievable and aligned with best practice.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams.
- Keeping up to date with Microsoft’s D365 Business Central roadmap, new features, and wider Microsoft ecosystem offerings such as Azure and Power Platform.
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in a presales, solution architecture, or consultancy role within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or a comparable ERP platform.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes, including finance, supply chain, manufacturing, warehousing, and sales.
- Demonstrated ability to gather requirements and translate them into effective, scalable ERP solutions.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience presenting to senior decision-makers.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to support complex, high-value sales opportunities.
- Comfortable working in a client-facing, consultative role with UK-wide travel.
Desirable Experience
- Background working for a Microsoft Partner.
- Experience within retail-focused Business Central implementations.
- Exposure to wider Microsoft technologies such as Azure, Power Platform, or CRM.
- Previous involvement in large-scale or multi-entity ERP implementations.
