Job summary

IDEX Consulting in Manchester is recruiting for an Underwriter in the D&O/management liability area. You'll join the Manchester financial lines team, working alongside experienced Underwriters and gaining exposure, responsibility and development to progress your underwriting career.

You’ll be involved throughout the underwriting process from submission to binding, build relationships with Brokers, and develop your technical capability.

Qualifications

• Experience within management liability/D&O underwriting.
• Comfortable operating at Assistant Underwriter level with ambition to progress.

Responsibilities

• Supporting D&O/management liability risks from submission through to binding.
• Working directly with Brokers and developing market relationships.
• Preparing financial and underwriting analysis.
• Working on portfolio business, volume deals and panel placements.
• Supporting underwriting decisions and developing technical capability.
• Maintaining accurate risk, exposure and premium information.
• Getting increasingly involved in the commercial side of underwriting as experience develops.
