Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 clinician on a fixed-term 12-month post to join the Children & Young People’s Service. You will deliver clinical leadership and manage a specialist caseload for 0–18 yrs, in varied settings including community, school, and home visits, with a blended Face2Face and Attend Anywhere approach.
You will work under supervision, contribute to CPD, and support safeguarding and trauma‑informed care for diverse needs, across CYPS
This post is fixed term for 12 months. The post holder will work in collaboration with team colleagues to deliver safe, efficient, high quality and effective services by providing strong clinical leadership and ensuring alignment of team based priorities with the Directorate and Trust priorities and values. The post holder will:
Independently manage a specialist clinical caseload with support and supervision provided by senior staff via various methods e.g. face to face contact, email, telephone. This will include provide clinical assessment and the delivery of treatment programmes for children and young people with a diverse range of physical healthcare needs
Consolidate undergraduate clinical experience, develop independent clinical practice, participating in continuing professional development
Work within a variety of setting such as community, homes, schools, nurseries, hospital ward & designated Clinics. The service provides a blended offer of delivery including Face2Face and a digital offer (Attend Anywhere).
Gloucestershire has a population of approximately 137,000 children and young people which is 22.9% of the total county population. As part of an integrated Directorate, Children & Young People's Service (CYPS) covers 32 areas of different service delivery, covering both mental health, physical health and learning disabilities to support children and young people from birth until they fully transition to adult services.
