Job description
Overview

CYPMHS (Children and Young People Mental Health Services) Crisis Team is recruiting an inspirational Team Leader who is a highly skilled, motivated Practitioner with the appropriate professional qualification and experience to work in a multi-disciplinary team. The position is a full‑time, permanent 37.5‑hour role.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Provide strong leadership across the two acute hospital sites in Watford and Stevenage, and support the community site in Radlett.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement a high‑quality service for children and young people in acute phases of mental illness.
  • Work under the supervision of the Community CAMHS Manager (CCM) and support the CCM by deputising and carrying out delegated roles, duties and responsibilities.
  • Lead clinical work, including duty and shift leadership, overseeing crisis care of young people presenting in mental health crisis.
  • Manage throughput and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Provide culturally sensitive care and therapeutic interventions for families from a wide range of racial, cultural and religious backgrounds, including single parents, same‑sex couples, extended families, foster carers and individuals with mental health difficulties.
  • Maintain a personal and professional profile in accordance with post‑registration requirements.
