Job summary

Rhodes Wood Hospital, part of Elysium Healthcare Limited, seeks a Consultant Psychiatrist to lead CYPMHS for young people aged 12 to 18 with eating disorders. You’ll review referrals, perform admission assessments, and shape individualised treatment plans in a supportive, evidence-based setting.

You will provide clinical leadership, supervise trainees, contribute to on-call duties, and collaborate with GPs, commissioners, and stakeholders to ensure continuity of care and ongoing service

Qualifications

• Registered on the GMC Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with a licence to practise.
• Experience of CYPMHS Eating Disorders.

Responsibilities

• Review referrals and determine appropriateness for admission.
• Conduct admission assessments and develop effective management plans.
• Participate in risk assessments and physical health reviews.
• Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and reflective practice for the team.
• Supervise non-training doctors and psychiatric trainees; support on-call rota.
