Overview

The Children and Young People's West Cheshire Mental Health Team is made up of experienced clinicians from a variety of professional disciplines who provide therapeutic input, manage risk and complexity, and work within multi‑agency settings. We deliver services that include assessment, therapy, family work, group work, consultation and training.

Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Recognised qualification in a relevant discipline such as nursing, social work or allied health professionals.
  • Experience working with children and young people with mental health difficulties in a clinical setting.
  • Knowledge and skills in a range of therapeutic modalities, including CBT, DBT, EMDR or systemic therapy.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to ethical practice and continuous learning.
  • Enthusiasm and dedication to providing high‑quality, community‑based mental health services to children, young people and families.
  • Experience in mental health assessment and formulation of interventions for the patient group.
  • Ability to manage clinically at‑risk children and young people.
  • Experience working under pressure in a demanding, fast‑paced environment.
  • Capacity to adapt and think on your feet due to the nature of the role.
  • Access to transport or ability to travel to various venues as part of the working day.
