Job description
Overview

Vacancy at Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust within the Wirral Mental Health Support Team (MHST). 3 positions available for the Band 5 Education Mental Health Practitioner/CYPWP role, working across 4 locations in Wirral.

Responsibilities
  • Work directly with schools, colleges and education settings to provide information, advice and guidance through consultation, training and direct work with children, young people and parents/caregivers.
  • Deliver evidence‑based interventions, including 1:1 and group Low Intensity CBT based interventions for children, young people and parents/carers.
  • Conduct assessments and deliver interventions on an individual and wider systems basis under close clinical supervision.
  • Access regular case management and clinical supervision individually and in groups.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across multiple sites and support children, young people and their families.
Qualifications & Conditions
  • Professional registration with a recognised national body (BPS, BABCP) or the ability to obtain registration within 6 months of start date. If registration is not yet held, a 6‑month fixed term contract will be offered to allow time to complete registration, after which the contract will be amended to permanent.
  • Full‑time availability.
  • Trainee EMHPs are welcome to apply.
  • Band 5 education Mental Health Practitioner/CYPWP designation.
