Cheshire & Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist to join Wirral Mental Health Support Team, CYPMHS. You will work with colleagues to expand CBT provision for children and young people, including 5–18-year-olds, in schools and community venues across Wirral.

The successful applicant will join our well-established team and work closely with our existing CBT Therapist to expand our Cognitive Behavioural Therapy offer.
The Mental Health Support Teams are part of an exciting project funded by NHS England, Health Education England and partners, with the aim of improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties in Wirral Schools. Understanding the speciality of low intensity CBT informed practice within the context of MHST is essential. The main focus of Mental Health Support Teams are:
The role will involve working closely with other senior clinical staff to enhance the quality and effectiveness of individual CBT informed interventions offered. They will support the development of staff through supervision, training and consultation, and support the application of CBT principles to clinical work.
The post-holder will be based at Joy, Birkenhead, and will also be expected to work in schools and other community venues across Wirral. Whilst we have funding for full time hours for this post, part-time hours might be considered.
It is hoped that the post-holder will be willing to undertake a postgraduate qualification in the supervision of low intensity CBT interventions.
