A healthcare provider in Chester is seeking an Assistant Psychologist to work within a specialist eating disorder ward. This role involves supporting the psychological care of young people and assisting the Lead Clinical Psychologist. The successful candidate will need a degree in psychology and a genuine interest in working with adolescents. This position offers a chance to engage in both clinical tasks and administration. We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Psychologist with a genuine interest in working with young people with eating disorders and their families. The post holder will be working within Ancora House as part of our CHEDS Service within a specialist eating disorder ward.
The successful candidates will work with the Lead Clinical Psychologist, psychology team and the wider MDT within the inpatient areas including Nurses, Support Workers, Occupational Therapists, and Psychiatrists.

The Assistant Psychologist will assist the Lead Clinical Psychologist and the multi‑disciplinary staff in the care and treatment of adolescents. All work to be undertaken will be under supervision of a Clinical Psychologist.
The role will involve supporting and enhancing the psychological care of young people, providing psychological assessment and psychological interventions (individual and group) under clinical supervision.
Additional aspects of the role will include clinical administration, audit, and data collection.
Applicants are required to have achieved a degree in psychology which confers Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership of the British Psychological Society.
