Job summary

A leading educational institution is seeking enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join their team. The role involves planning and delivering teaching activities, assessing pupil progress, and providing support for students with diverse needs. Successful candidates will work closely with teachers and parents to foster a positive learning environment. This is a temporary position with various hours available, starting September 2025.

We are seeking 3 enthusiastic and energetic learning support assistants to join our school team. The key duties include:

  1. Planning, preparing, and delivering teaching and learning activities, adapting as necessary under the supervision of a teacher.
  2. Assessing, recording, and reporting on pupils' development, progress, and attainment.
  3. Liaising with staff and professionals to share information about pupils.
  4. Assessing pupils' needs and supporting their learning with specialist skills.
  5. Supporting pupils' social and emotional well-being and reporting issues.
  6. Assisting in developing and implementing Individual Development Plans for pupils with additional needs.
  7. Covering PPA and short-term illness when required.
  8. Supporting parents and carers in pupils' learning and providing feedback.
  9. Supporting pupils with changing needs and those with learning, behavioral, communication, social, sensory, or physical difficulties.
  10. Supporting pupils where English is not their first language and more able pupils.

Start date: September 2025

Grade 3 SCP 7-12 (£25,584 - £27,711 FTE)

Vacancies:

  • 1 x 27.5 hours/week (temporary for 2 terms)
  • 1 x 27.5 hours/week (temporary for 1 year)
  • 1 x 11 hours/week (temporary for 1 year)
