Job summary

Bridgend County Borough Council’s ICT Department is seeking a Cybersecurity Officer to reinforce delivery of robust cyber security controls and protect the Council's systems and data. The role supports incident response, vulnerability management, monitoring and compliance.

The candidate will work with CIA principles, endpoint protection (MDE), SIEM/SOAR, Nessus-based assessments and policy development. Hybrid working applies; closing date 2026-08-12, interviews 2026-08-27.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering cyber security controls in an operational setting.
• Knowledge of incident response lifecycle and threat monitoring.
• Familiarity with vulnerability management and policy development.
