Job summary

National Highways invites applications for its Cybersecurity Graduate Programme based in Bedford. You will join a specialist team and help safeguard the digital and operational technology that keeps our roads running securely.

Over three years, you will gain hands-on experience with business systems, control room architecture, and roadside equipment while learning from experienced mentors. The programme offers a structured pathway to a permanent cybersecurity role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related Digital/Technology subject.
• Eligible to work in the UK for the full duration of the programme.
• Residential induction access in Birmingham from 6th - 9th September 2027.

Responsibilities

• Develop cyber security knowledge as part of a specialist team.
• Gain hands-on experience across digital and OT systems and roadside equipment.
• Contribute to projects that raise awareness of cybersecurity risks among colleagues.
• Work with senior cybersecurity professionals to learn how to detect and respond to threats.
