Xpertise Recruitment is seeking a Cybersecurity Assurance & Architecture Specialist (AWS) for a high-visibility contract role in West London/Heathrow area. You will combine hands-on AWS security architecture with technical assurance and resilience expertise across large-scale enterprise platforms.
In this hybrid role, you’ll collaborate with engineering, DevSecOps and delivery teams to identify risks, strengthen controls and ensure secure delivery across cloud, data, and integration environments
An experienced Cybersecurity Assurance & Architecture Specialist is required to join a major technology and operations function responsible for the security, resilience and assurance of critical enterprise and operational systems.
This is a highly visible contract opportunity for a security professional who can combine hands-on AWS security architecture expertise with strong technical assurance and cyber resilience experience. You'll work closely with engineering, DevSecOps and delivery teams, helping to identify risks, improve security controls and ensure solutions are delivered securely without creating unnecessary barriers to delivery.
You'll be joining a large-scale environment undergoing continual transformation, supporting hundreds of business-critical systems across cloud, data, integration and operational technology platforms.
You'll be working within a complex, regulated environment where cyber security, resilience and operational assurance are fundamental to successful delivery. The role sits at the intersection of architecture, assurance and engineering, requiring someone who can engage confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
This is not a purely governance or compliance position. The successful contractor will be expected to understand how security controls work in practice and collaborate directly with teams responsible for implementation.
We're looking for a proactive, pragmatic and technically credible cyber security professional who enjoys solving problems and building relationships across engineering teams.
You'll be comfortable investigating issues independently, challenging where necessary and working collaboratively to deliver secure outcomes. Strong communication skills are just as important as technical capability, as you'll be engaging regularly with architects, developers, delivery teams and senior stakeholders.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds. Our Client are an equal opportunities employer.
Right to work in the UK is required for this role.
