Job summary

Agilent Technologies is seeking a forward-thinking Cybersecurity Architect to shape our enterprise cybersecurity strategy and long-term vision. The role focuses on defining security roadmaps and governance for AI, cloud, and product environments.

You will work with IT, architecture, and leadership to guide investments, embed security into strategic decisions, and support digital transformation. Travel about 10% is expected. Full-time position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and communicate multi-year cybersecurity strategy and enterprise roadmaps.
• Evaluate threats and industry trends to identify security opportunities and risks.
• Define target-state security architectures for enterprise, cloud, data, and AI initiatives.
• Partner with EA, infrastructure, cloud, development, data, and product teams to embed security into decisions.
• Advise on major enterprise initiatives and technology modernization efforts.
• Lead secure AI strategy, governance models, and control frameworks.
• Assess security implications of AI technologies and ML systems.
• Collaborate with IT leadership to prioritise cybersecurity investments and roadmaps.
• Align security decisions with regulatory, privacy, and business requirements.
• Monitor global cybersecurity regulations and industry frameworks affecting operations.
• Provide guidance on IAM, data protection, cloud, app, and infrastructure security.
• Develop executive presentations and cybersecurity recommendations for leadership.
• Partner with security engineering, operations, risk, compliance, privacy, and product teams.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information technology, engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security architecture, enterprise architecture, information security, or related disciplines.
• Demonstrated experience developing enterprise security strategies, roadmaps, reference architectures, and security transformation programs.
• Strong understanding of security architecture principles and core security fundamentals, including operational technology.
• Strong knowledge of AI technologies, AI governance frameworks, AI security controls, and emerging risks associated with generative AI and machine learning systems.
• Experience interpreting and applying cybersecurity regulations, industry standards, and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to work effectively across technical, business, and executive leadership teams.
• Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to translate complex technical topics into actionable business recommendations.

Responsibilities:

• Define target-state security architectures, reference architectures, and security standards supporting enterprise, cloud, data, AI, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Partner with enterprise architecture, infrastructure, cloud, application development, data, and product teams to embed security into strategic technology decisions.
• Advise on major enterprise initiatives, acquisitions, business transformations, and technology modernization efforts.
• Lead the development of our secure AI strategy, including governance models, architecture standards, control frameworks, and risk management approaches.
• Assess security implications of AI technologies, large language models, autonomous agents, machine learning platforms, and emerging AI-driven capabilities.
• Collaborate with IT and Information Security leadership to prioritize cybersecurity investments and roadmap initiatives based on risk and business objectives.
• Align security architecture decisions with regulatory, compliance, privacy, and business requirements.
• Monitor emerging global cybersecurity regulations, standards, and industry frameworks affecting our operations, products, and AI initiatives.
• Provide strategic guidance on identity and access management, data protection, cloud security, application security, infrastructure security, and security monitoring capabilities.

We are seeking an experienced, forward-thinking Cybersecurity Architect to help shape our enterprise cybersecurity strategy and long-term vision. The role will guide security investments and support our business objectives, digital transformation, and secure, compliant, responsible adoption of AI across enterprise and product environments. We offer a full-time day-shift position with a stated full-time equivalent pay range of $139,440–$217,875 per year, plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits; individual pay depends on location and other job-related factors. The listed locations are Colorado Springs, Colorado; Wilmington, Delaware; and Barcelona, Spain. Travel is approximately 10%.
