Job summary

S&P Global is seeking a Senior Threat Intelligence Lead to own and advance the Threat Intelligence Platform within the Cyber Defense team. You will design and deliver strategic capabilities, integrate critical intelligence feeds, and promote best practices across a global organization.

You will mentor junior analysts, produce actionable intelligence for technical and executive audiences, and collaborate with security, testing, and incident response teams to strengthen the firm’s defensive

Qualifications

  • 3+ years hands-on experience in a Cyber Threat Intelligence role with platform ownership responsibilities.
  • Expertise with threat intelligence platforms including data modeling, operational management, and production environment administration.
  • Proficiency with commercial intelligence feeds, threat intel sharing frameworks such as STIX/TAXII, and downstream intelligence integration.
  • Strong analytical and technical writing skills with experience producing intelligence reports for technical and executive audiences.
  • Proven leadership with mentoring junior analysts and setting technical standards.

  • Own and lead the end-to-end Threat Intelligence Platform, driving design, delivery and ongoing development for global adoption.
  • Build and maintain API integrations and connectors across commercial intelligence sources.
  • Establish and govern intelligence standards including source reliability, confidence scoring, TLP handling, and indicator lifecycle management.
  • Lead PIRs, IOC lifecycle management, and vulnerability intelligence support to shape defensive posture.
  • Drive intelligence workstreams within broader security engagements and provide threat profiles for security testing and incident response.
  • Mentor and develop junior analysts and produce high-quality intelligence outputs for diverse stakeholders.

About the Role

The Team

The Cyber Defense team is at the forefront of protecting S&P Global's critical assets through advanced threat intelligence and proactive security measures.

Responsibilities and Impact
  • Own and lead the end-to-end Threat Intelligence Platform, driving its strategic design, delivery, and ongoing development to maximize value and adoption across the global cyber defense organization.
  • Build and maintain critical API integrations and connectors across commercial intelligence sources, establishing the technical foundation that enables proactive threat detection and response capabilities.
  • Establish and govern intelligence standards including source reliability assessment, confidence scoring, TLP handling, and indicator lifecycle management that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead tactical and technical intelligence supporting activities including Priority Intelligence Requirements (PIRs), IOC lifecycle management, and vulnerability intelligence support that directly shapes the firm's defensive posture.
  • Drive intelligence workstreams within broader security engagements, providing threat profiles and assessments that support critical security testing and incident response activities.
  • Mentor and develop junior analysts while producing high-quality intelligence outputs for diverse stakeholders, from technical teams to senior leadership, enhancing the organization's overall security awareness.
What We're Looking For
Basic Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 3+ years of hands‑on experience within a Cyber Threat Intelligence function with proven platform ownership responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated expertise with threat intelligence platforms including data modeling, operational management, and production environment administration.
  • Proficiency with commercial intelligence feeds, threat intelligence sharing frameworks such as STIX/TAXII or similar standards, and downstream intelligence integration.
  • Strong analytical and technical writing skills with experience producing intelligence reports for both technical and executive audiences.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with experience mentoring junior analysts and establishing technical standards.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience applying AI or machine learning techniques to intelligence analysis workflows, including quality assurance and evaluation methodologies.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements including audit trails, baseline validation, and governance frameworks within financial services.
  • Hands‑on experience with infrastructure analysis, internet scanning technologies, and OSINT collection tools.
  • Background in intelligence vendor evaluation and source assessment against defined business requirements and risk criteria.
