Job summary

Protection Group International in the United Kingdom is seeking a CTI Analyst to identify, track and attribute advanced persistent threat campaigns, focusing on adversaries and their TTPs. You’ll join a Digital Investigations team working with government, social platforms, and non-profits to understand digital threats.

On day one you’ll bring at least two years of CTI/OSINT experience, strong writing skills, and a curious investigative mindset.

Qualifications

• Two years of practical experience researching and attributing APT actors and their campaigns.
• Expertise in CTI investigations including investigating domains.
• Strong OSINT skills.
• The mindset of an investigative journalist—curious, persistent, innovative.
• Background in CTI, OSINT, research, data science, or related technical discipline.
• Experience mentoring or training others.

Our Digital Investigations Team work with social media platforms, governments, and non-profit organisations to help them understand and navigate digital threats. Our highly skilled team work at the cutting edge of digital threat and online harm, helping clients detect and respond. We use innovative technology and have a deep understanding of everything related to social media and online infrastructure. We're not just about the platforms themselves, but also about the behaviours and intent of those who use them for adversarial outcomes, and those they target.

PGI's Digital Investigations team is looking for a CTI Analyst to contribute to our work researching and attributing advanced persistent threat (APT) activity.

What you'll be doing:

• Identifying, tracking, and attributing APT campaigns.
• Investigating state and non-state threat actors, from surfacing initial leads through to attribution.
• Mapping and assessing novel threat actor TTPs and tooling.
• Producing concise written reports.

On day one you will bring::

• A minimum of two years practical experience researching and attributing APT actors and their campaigns (essential).
• Expertise in CTI investigations including investigating domains (essential).
• Strong OSINT skills.
• The mindset of an investigative journalist — a curious, persistent, and innovative investigator.
• The ability to write clear and concise reports.
• A background in CTI, OSINT, research, data science, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience of managing, mentoring, and/or training others.
