Office for National Statistics is seeking a Cyber Security Threat Hunting Principal within the Security and Information Management (SaIM) Directorate. You will lead the Cyber Security Threat Hunting function, identify malicious activity, and guide remediation across the IT estate.

The role requires deep threat hunting expertise, incident response involvement, and collaboration with senior leaders. Flexible working patterns are available, and a strong pension and leave package accompany the role.

Responsabilités

• Deliver strategic objectives for Cyber Security Threat Hunting over the SaIM strategy period.
• Conduct threat hunting aligned to the cyber threat faced by ONS and report findings to the Head of Cyber Security.
• Identify opportunities to improve security alerts and work with cyber analytics to implement changes, briefing all teams and ensuring high-quality documentation.
• Identify misconfigurations and other vulnerabilities in the ONS network and lead remediation with stakeholders in Vulnerability Management.
• Liaise with other government departments to assist in the identification and remediation of cyber security threats.
