The SOC Team Lead role drives performance and operational excellence within Shared Service’s Cyber Services, acting as escalation point and line manager to cyber analysts, while fostering a security-first culture across operations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on cyber security or service desk experience.
• Knowledge of incident response frameworks and threat detection.
• Strong leadership and communication in high-pressure scenarios.
• Experience with SIEM, EDR and vulnerability management.
• Understanding of risk-based prioritisation and regulatory considerations.
• Willingness to support out-of-hours activities based on threat levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead cyber service operations with focus on SLA attainment and incident response.
• Line-manage Cyber Analysts and set objectives for development.
• Model behaviours that promote collaboration and accountability.
• Share threat intelligence with junior colleagues and provide coaching.
• Contribute to root cause analysis and threat hunting strategies.
• Ensure security processes are documented and reviewed regularly.
• Support reporting on security metrics and incident trends.
