The Role

We're seeking a highly organised and delivery‑focused Cyber Security Project Manager to lead the implementation of KAD25's Cyber Security Management Plan transformation programme on a 12‑18‑month fixed‑term contract. You'll oversee 13 bespoke cyber work packages, ensuring each is assessed, planned, and delivered through robust project governance, structured gap analysis and strong cross‑functional collaboration.

This role is ideal for a cybersecurity‑aware project leader who thrives in complex operational environments and is confident translating technical requirements into practical, actionable plans that strengthen the resilience and safety of our railway.

What You'll Do
  • Lead the planning, delivery and governance of all cyber security work packages.
  • Develop and execute structured gap‑analysis strategies aligned to programme objectives.
  • Translate complex technical and operational requirements into clear delivery plans.
  • Engage with IT, OT, Engineering, Support Services and other stakeholders to drive progress.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions and turn findings into evidence‑based actions.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams to meet OT‑specific cyber security requirements.
  • Ensure all project documentation is accurate, complete, and audit‑ready.
  • Monitor risks, dependencies and delivery quality, ensuring compliance with cyber standards.
  • Manage relationships with third‑party suppliers supporting work package delivery.
What You'll Need

Essential:

  • Proven experience delivering cybersecurity projects or programmes in complex environments.
  • Strong project management skills including planning, scheduling and dependency management.
  • Experience executing gap analysis methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical information.
  • Experience working with cross‑functional teams and multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management and governance processes.
  • Familiarity with OT environments, ideally within rail or transport.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (ISO 27001, NIS) and rail industry standards.

Desirable:

  • Degree in Information Security, IT, Engineering, Project Management or equivalent experience.
  • Project management certification (Prince2, PMP, APM).
  • Experience engaging senior stakeholders and presenting programme updates.
