Job summary

S64 in London is seeking a proactive Cyber Security / IT Analyst to join our security team. You will monitor security tools, respond to alerts, and provide first-line IT support while helping maintain assets and documentation.

You will assist with vulnerability scanning, patch management, and security controls, as well as compliance checks (SOC 2, Cyber Essentials) and security awareness initiatives. This is an early-career role offering growth in a dynamic fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a cybersecurity / IT role.
• Degree in computer science or any other relevant field.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals (threat vectors, defence in depth).
• Familiarity with Windows and Mac environments and Microsoft 365.
• Basic experience with security tools (antivirus, firewalls, SIEM).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Exposure to incident response or threat hunting.
• Familiarity with compliance and controls audits (SOC2, Cyber Essentials).
• Experience with vulnerability management tools (Nessus, Qualys).
• Knowledge of networking protocols and secure configurations.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft SC-900, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and respond to security alerts, escalating where necessary.
• Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Support device setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Help maintain IT asset records and documentation.

• Assist with the maintenance of cybersecurity solutions such as endpoint protection, SIEM, and MFA.
• Help maintain and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Conduct threat intelligence and risk assessments.
• Assist with internal audits and compliance checks (SOC 2, Cyber Essentials).
• Contribute to security awareness initiatives and training programmes.

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Cyber Security / IT Analyst to join our growing security team based in London. This role is primarily focused on safeguarding the organisation’s digital and physical assets, monitoring for potential risks, and supporting the implementation of security controls. As part of an agile team, you will also provide IT support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations across the business, ensuring our security systems and hardware are full up to date and protected from all threats.
