Job summary

Recruit with Purpose in London is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to own a vulnerability management transformation and drive the Tenable rollout across the organisation. Qualifications

• Experience in information or cyber security engineering, ideally in public sector.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Security technologies, with hands-on Defender.
• Exposure to Sentinel or similar SIEM/SOAR platforms, with structured alerting/response.
• CompTIA Security+ as a baseline; additional certs (SC-200/300/400, CEH, CISSP, CCNA) are a plus.
• Self-sufficient, proactive, and curious about evolving threat landscape.

Responsibilities

• Own onboarding and adoption of new Tenable tools to advance vulnerability management.
• Administer, monitor and oversee security operations across Microsoft 365 services.
• Manage incidents day-to-day from SOC triage to resolution using SIEM/SOAR platforms.
• Conduct threat hunting and stay current with emerging threats and trends.
• Support alignment with Cyber Essentials Plus and contribute to security reviews/audits.
