Job summary

Bonhill Partners in London seeks a VP-level Security Architect to design and maintain enterprise security architectures aligned with business goals. You will lead security across cloud, network, identity, and applications, partnering with engineering to embed security throughout the SDLC.

This 6-month contract with guaranteed conversion to permanent offers a base up to £120k plus bonus, with 3 days in the London office and hybrid working. You will mentor teams and drive secure transformation.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise security architectures aligned with business objectives and industry best practices.
• Develop security solutions across cloud, network, endpoint, identity, and application domains.
• Lead the implementation of security controls, standards, and technical roadmaps.
• Conduct architecture reviews, threat modelling, and security risk assessments.
• Provide technical leadership on cloud security initiatives (Azure, AWS, and/or GCP).
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Support incident response activities and contribute to lessons learned and security improvements.
• Evaluate new technologies and provide security guidance for digital transformation initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, Cyber Essentials Plus, etc.).
• Mentor and guide security and engineering teams on secure design principles.

Job description

Location: London, Bank - 3 days in office.

Details: Initial 6 month contract, with guaranteed conversion to perm within that period.

Perm salary: up to £120k base + bonus (VP Level)

Initial contract rate: TBC
