Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Security Engineer to join our team and safeguard client systems, applications and data. You will design, implement and maintain security solutions while proactively identifying risk and enforcing compliance with security standards.

The role offers exposure to cloud, on-premises and hybrid environments, with opportunities to work across SIEM tooling, threat detection, and security automation.

Qualifications

  • Core concepts of cyber security and platform engineering such as networking, Cloud security, CI/CD pipelines, virtualization, and IaC.
  • Software development skills using Linux or WSL
  • SIEM and log routing experience in tools such as Splunk, Sentinel, Cribl, and ELK
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and GCP services
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Experience with IDS/IPS solutions, vulnerability management, and endpoint security
  • Familiarity with AI hardening techniques
  • Experience in working within SOC teams
  • Familiarity withIaC technologies (CloudFormation, Terraform, Bicep)

Role: Cyber Security Engineer

Location: London, Manchester, Birmingham

Salary: Competitive salary and package dependent on experience

Career Level: Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a Security Engineer to join our team and play a key role in safeguarding client systems, applications anddata. You will be tasked with designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions whilst proactively identifying riskand enforcing compliance with common security standards. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for staying ahead of the evolving threat landscape.

Note: This rolemayrequire on-call availability for high priority incidents. Please note there is additional compensationforthisand the frequency isclient-dependent.
