Job summary

Cambridge & Counties Bank is seeking a skilled Cyber Security professional to develop and sustain our security capabilities. You will protect information and systems through incident response, vulnerability management and security controls across endpoints, identity, email, network and cloud technologies.

You will collaborate with our SOC, IT teams and suppliers to maintain a secure environment and help colleagues adopt new technologies, including AI, safely and effectively.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Cyber Security, Security Engineering, SOC, Incident Response or Cloud Security role.
• Good knowledge of security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and IAM principles.
• Experience with enterprise security technologies, ideally within the Microsoft security ecosystem, with understanding of cloud security concepts and modern security frameworks
• Excellent analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills with ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience of cyber awareness training or phishing simulation programmes, and understanding of AI security implications
• Interest in emerging cyber threats, technologies and industry best practice
• Relevant certifications such as Security+, SC-200, SC-300, AZ-500, CISSP or equivalent are desirable
• Experience within financial services or another regulated environment advantageous.

Job description

Location: Leicester with Hybrid Working Salary: £50,000-£60,000pa

Working within the IT function, you will help develop, maintain and continuously improve the Bank's cyber security capability.

You will protect the Bank's information, systems and colleagues through the operation of security controls, incident response, vulnerability management and cyber awareness activities.

You will work closely with our managed SOC, internal IT teams and third-party suppliers to help maintain a secure and resilient technology environment.

Can you investigate security alerts, manage vulnerabilities and help improve security controls across endpoint, identity, email, network and cloud technologies?

Would you enjoy helping colleagues stay secure while supporting the safe adoption of new technologies, including Artificial Intelligence?

About you

• Experience in a Cyber Security, Security Engineering, SOC, Incident Response or Cloud Security role.
• Good knowledge of security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and identity and access management principles.
• Experience with enterprise security technologies, ideally within the Microsoft security ecosystem, together with an understanding of cloud security concepts and modern security frameworks
• Excellent analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience of cyber awareness training or phishing simulation programmes, and an understanding of the security risks and opportunities associated with AI technologies
• A keen interest in emerging cyber threats, technologies and industry best practice
• Relevant certifications such as Security+, SC-200, SC-300, AZ-500, CISSP or equivalent are desirable
• Experience within financial services or another regulated environment would be advantageous.
