Job summary

Zensec is seeking a hands-on Security Engineer to deploy, configure, and maintain security controls across client environments. You will work across endpoint security, identity management, cloud security, vulnerability management, and email protection, helping clients improve security posture and comply with Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001.

This role offers flexible, hybrid working within the UK, with opportunities to work directly with clients and stay at the forefront of cyber security

Qualifications

• Experience deploying and managing endpoint security platforms and EDR/XDR.
• Strong knowledge of Entra ID, AD, MFA, Conditional Access and privileged access controls.
• Familiarity with security baselines and CIS Benchmarks.
• Experience with Azure security and Defender for Cloud.
• Ability to perform vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation.
• Experience configuring email security (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
• Understanding of Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001 controls.
• Excellent communication and teamwork in client-facing roles.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage endpoint security solutions including EDR/XDR.
• Configure Entra ID, Active Directory, MFA, Conditional Access, and privileged access controls.
• Implement security best practices using Group Policy, CIS Benchmarks, and Secure Score.
• Support Azure security initiatives and cloud security tooling like Defender for Cloud.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, manage remediation activities, and assist patch management.
• Configure and maintain email security controls (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
• Support Cyber Essentials assessments and remediation activities.
• Work closely with client teams to investigate security issues and strengthen controls.
• Experience with Defender, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne.
• Understand Active Directory, Entra ID, identity management and access control.
• Knowledge of Azure security and cloud-native security technologies.
• Experience with Nessus, Qualys.
• Knowledge of Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001.
• Excellent communication and teamwork with a passion for technology.
