Job summary

MAG (Airports Group) is seeking a cloud security specialist to protect and strengthen our AWS environment across engineering and risk teams. You will drive vulnerability management, access controls, incident investigations, and maintain documentation to demonstrate PCI DSS compliance and continuous improvement.

You will work in a flexible/hybrid setup, collaborating with security, risk, and operations colleagues to deliver resilient cloud services and secure-by-design guidance across MAG's AWS

Qualifications

• Degree in information systems, computer science or equivalent work experience.
• Previous AWS experience, ideally in a large regulated organisation.
• AWS certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Protect and enhance MAG's AWS cloud environment with secure configurations.
• Lead cloud vulnerability management and monitor threats.
• Maintain incident investigations and governance documentation.
• Ensure compliance with PCI DSS and information security standards.

The role

You’ll play a key role in protecting and enhancing our AWS cloud environment, ensuring security controls, configurations and services remain aligned with industry best practice, internal standards and PCI DSS requirements. Working closely with engineering, architecture and risk teams, you’ll identify and remediate security risks, strengthen cloud monitoring and threat detection capabilities, and help maintain a secure, compliant and resilient cloud platform. You’ll lead on cloud-focused vulnerability management, oversee secure identity and access controls, and support incident investigations. As a trusted cloud security specialist, you will champion secure-by-design principles, provide expert guidance to stakeholders, and maintain clear documentation and reporting to demonstrate compliance, highlight risks and drive continuous improvement across our cloud estate.

What will make you successful in the role?

You’ll have previous AWS experience and ideally have previously worked in a large regulated organisation. You’ll have a degree in information systems, computer science or the equivalent work experience and ideally possess AWS certification. You’ll have a good knowledge and understanding of information risk concepts and principles, as a means of relating business needs to security controls as well as a knowledge of common information security management frameworks, such as NIST, PCI, ISO27001, Mitre and ITIL frameworks. You’ll also have an understanding of security policies, processes, procedures and standards and how to embed these in existing business processes.
