Job summary

LIMA is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join our Vulnerability, Remediation and Detection service. You will work with customers, consultants and engineers to identify and communicate security risks, and help mitigate weaknesses across client environments.

The role blends technical work with customer engagement, including performing vulnerability scans, installing threat management software, patching weaknesses, and producing security incident reports.

Qualifications

• Experience in cybersecurity, security operations or IT infrastructure role.
• Knowledge of vulnerability management and detection platforms such as Qualys, Huntress or ManageEngine.
• Experience with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) like CrowdStrike, SentinelOne or Microsoft Defender.
• Understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Ability to investigate and interpret system, security and event logs.
• Knowledge of CVSS and NIST guidance.
• Experience producing technical and customer-facing reports.
• Experience implementing OS hardening standards per NCSC guidance.
• Familiarity with Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001/27002.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating vulnerability assessments and scans across customer environments.
• Installation of threat management software.
• Patching to remove security weaknesses identified by consultants.
• Peer reviewing change requests to avoid security regressions.
• Quality assessing new implementations against security baselines.
• Tracking patches released by partners (e.g., Microsoft).
• Assisting engineers in investigation of security events and producing incident reports.
• Data cleansing to remove deprecated assets from reporting.
• Presenting vulnerabilities to customers and discussing industry trends.
