Job summary

Chambers & Partners is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst/Lead in London. This hybrid role requires two days in the London office and focuses on building and delivering the information security programme to protect systems, data and digital assets from threats.

You will lead the development of security initiatives, oversee advanced technologies, and ensure compliance with industry frameworks. The role blends hands-on security with strategic leadership and future team growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Experience creating Cyber Security roadmaps.
  • Strong understanding of information security principles and standards (ISO 27001, NIST, Cyber Essentials).
  • Hands-on experience with security technologies such as firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, EDR, and identity management solutions.
  • Experience with cloud security (Azure).
  • Proven incident management and incident response experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and maintain the information security strategy, policies, standards and procedures.
  • Provide expert advice on information security to stakeholders.
  • Oversee day-to-day operation of security systems and tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, antivirus, encryption).
  • Manage vulnerability management programs, including scanning and remediation.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Ensure compliance with information security regulations and industry standards.
  • Coordinate internal and external security audits and remediation of findings.
  • Collaborate with IT Operations and Infrastructure to embed security in design and deployment of IT infrastructure including cloud environments.
  • Manage access control for 3rd-party applications and relationships.
  • Oversee patching and configuration management to reduce attack surface.

Overview Join Chambers as our next Cyber Security Analyst/Lead, a pivotal role at the heart of our commitment to safeguarding information and maintaining trust. A hands-on role, you’ll lead the development and delivery of our information security programme, protecting our systems, data, and digital assets from evolving threats. This is an exciting opportunity to drive key security initiatives, oversee cutting‑edge technologies, and ensure compliance with leading industry frameworks within a globally respected organisation. This is a hybrid role, with two days a week expected in the London office.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop,implement,andmaintaintheorganisation'sinformationsecuritystrategy,policies,standards,andproceduresinalignmentwithbusinessobjectivesandregulatoryrequirements.
  • Provideexpertadviceandguidanceoninformationsecuritymatterstovariousstakeholdersacrosstheorganisation.
  • Overseetheday-to-dayoperationofsecuritysystemsandtools,includingfirewalls,intrusiondetection/preventionsystems(IDS/IPS),antivirus,anti-malware,SIEM(SecurityInformationandEventManagement),vulnerabilityscanners,anddataencryptionsolutions.
  • Managevulnerabilitymanagementprograms,includingregularscanning,penetrationtesting,andremediationofidentifiedweaknesses.
  • Developandmaintainrobustdisasterrecoveryandbusinesscontinuityplansrelatedtoinformationsecurity.
  • Ensuretheorganization'sadherencetorelevantinformationsecurityregulations,laws,andindustrystandards(e.g.HIPAA,PCIDSS,NIST,CIS,ISO27001,CyberEssentials+).
  • Coordinateandparticipateininternalandexternalsecurityaudits,provideevidence,andensuretimelyremediationofauditfindings.
  • CollaboratewithITOperationsandInfrastructureteamstoensuresecurityisembeddedinthedesign,implementation,andmaintenanceofallITinfrastructure,includingcloudenvironments(e.g.,Azure,AWS,GCP),networks,servers,andendpoints.
  • Manageaccesscontrolprocessesto3rdpartyapplications,and3rdpartyrelations.
  • Overseethepatchingandconfigurationmanagementofallsystemsandapplicationstoreducetheattacksurface.
  • Asthisroledevelops,weexpecttheneedforadedicatedteamofsecurityprofessionals.Thispositionwillthenberesponsiblefortheteam’sservicedelivery,includingleadership,mentoring,andgeneralsupportofteamtasks.
  • Managerelationshipswiththird-partysecurityvendorsandserviceproviders.
  • PrepareandmanagetheITsecuritybudget,ensuringoptimalallocationofresources.
  • Communicatesecurityrisks,incidents,andperformancemetricstoseniormanagementandotherstakeholders.
  • Drivecontinuousimprovementinitiativeswithintheinformationsecurityfunction.

Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Experience creating Cyber Security roadmaps.

Strong understanding of information security principles, frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, Cyber Essentials), and best practices.

Hands‑on experience with security technologies such as firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and identity management solutions.

Experience with cloud security (e.g., Azure Security).

Proven experience in managing security incidents and conducting incident response.

Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR).

Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non‑technical audiences.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.

Experience building, developing and managing technology improvement programmes

Experience selecting and managing third party suppliers and solutions

Evidence of setting vision and direction, inspiring and engaging with others to deliver.

Technically astute, with in good knowledge of IT Operation and infrastructure.

CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)

CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)

CompTIA Security+

CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)

  • Cloud Security certifications (e.g., Azure Security Engineer Associate, AWS Certified Security - Specialty
