Job summary

East West Railway Company in Milton Keynes is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to strengthen cyber resilience using the Microsoft security stack and to support IT operations. You will engage with the SOC to monitor events, maintain robust documentation, and contribute to cyber assurance activities.

The role requires collaboration with the Legal Team on DSARs/FoI, ability to investigate alerts, and a proactive, service-oriented approach to security awareness and improvement across the

Qualifications

• Degree in IT or cybersecurity or related discipline.
• Experience with Microsoft Security Stack and related tools.
• Ability to investigate and resolve security alerts, incidents, vulnerabilities, or control issues.
• Knowledge of cyber security risks, threats, and controls (phishing, malware, data loss).
• Ability to document processes, configurations and findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist Cyber Lead in delivering IT Cyber Strategy.
• Work with Legal Team on DSARs and FoI requests.
• Operate Microsoft Security Stack and monitor events with the SOC.
• Maintain high-quality documentation of configurations, standards and procedures.
• Gather KPIs for reporting to the SIRO.
• Conduct phishing simulations and IT assurance activities.
