Job summary

Mitigo Group is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst or Consultant to join our hybrid, Manchester-area team. The role involves supporting training delivery, running phishing simulations, and assisting with client inquiries and incident response.

Applicants with 0–3 years in cyber security who are eager to learn will be considered. Knowledge of Email Platforms, Security, vulnerability scanning, and endpoint protection is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery team by launching training and delivering reports.
• Create and deliver custom simulated phishing campaigns using our in-house phishing platform.
• Monitor and assist with client queries via phone and email.
• Monitor and assist the analysis of potentially malicious emails from clients.
• Create cyber security policy packs for clients.
• Manage the building and maintenance of physical vulnerability scanning hardware.
• Deliver vulnerability assessment audits from setup through reporting and debriefing.
• Liaise with clients and the internal analyst team to build custom phishing campaigns.
• Respond to client queries via phone and email.
• Support clients during cyber incidents with investigations and reporting.
• Support clients with certifications and accreditations.

Job Title: Cyber Security Analyst or Consultant

Salary: £29,000 - £40,000 (depending on role and experience)

Location: Hybrid (2-4 days in the head office in South Manchester)

Position Overview: Our Cyber Security team play a critical role in implementing and managing our bespoke security services for a diverse portfolio of clients. To be successful in this role you will work closely with our team of Consultants to support the delivery of our portfolio of services. Depending on your experience, the role may or may not be client-facing, however there will be times when you may need to directly liaise with clients via email and phone.

The successful candidate will be expected to support the delivery team by:

• Support the cyber security training team by managing launching of training and delivering of reports.

Requirements & Skills: We are open to taking applications from individuals who are either new to the cyber security discipline, or those with 2-3 years who are looking for a new role. For those who are new to cyber security, your drive, determination and eagerness to learn are more important than background, qualifications or experience, and we are looking for individuals who can demonstrate the following traits:

For a consultant role, you should be comfortable engaging with clients at different levels within organisations, from technical teams through the partners and directors of firms.
