Job summary

Cirencester College is seeking a knowledgeable Cyber Security Specialist to join our IT Services team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will lead on achieving and maintaining key cyber security certifications and help safeguard our environment.

Beyond technical setup, you will mentor colleagues, review systems for risks, and guide users to handle everyday security challenges confidently. This role offers a collaborative environment and opportunities to contribute to college-wide security

Responsibilities

• Lead on achieving and maintaining key cyber security certifications.
• Review current systems to identify security risks and prioritize projects.
• Provide guidance to IT staff and users on security best practices.

Salary: £28,799 - £32,553 per annum(Salary dependent on qualifications and experience)Contract: Full Time, PermanentRequired: Immediate start availableWe are looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Cyber Security Specialist to join our friendly IT Services team. In this role, you will take the lead on helping us achieve and maintain our key cyber security certifications. You will use your expertise to review our current systems and prioritise security-focused projects to keep our environment safe. Beyond the technical setup, you will be a supportive teammate, sharing your security know-how and providing guidance to help the wider IT team and our users to handle everyday security challenges confidently.
