Job description
Cyber Security Analyst (Contract)

Are you an experienced Cyber Security Analyst with a passion for incident response and a sharp sense for when something doesn't look right? This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, agile team tackling complex security challenges across a critical environment.

The Opportunity

You’ll be the fifth member of a dedicated Incident Response team responsible for triaging, containing, and remediating cyber security incidents. The role offers the flexibility of contracting while the organisation reviews and strengthens its long‑term security operating model.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage the full lifecycle of security incidents, from detection through to containment and remediation.
  • Apply strong situational judgment to assess threats and elevate appropriately.
  • Engage confidently with business stakeholders to ensure response decisions align with organisational priorities.
  • Help develop and enhance incident response playbooks, tooling, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with technical specialists where deeper analysis or remediation is required.
What You’ll Bring
  • Proven experience in incident response—beyond basic alert triage.
  • Strong understanding of risk, threat assessment, and escalation practices.
  • The ability to translate technical issues into business impact and communicate clearly with non‑technical teams.
  • Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CySA+, etc.) are valued but not required—experience matters most.
  • An interest in supporting physical security operations in the future is a plus.

If you’re an experienced incident responder who thrives under pressure and enjoys balancing technical response with business context, we’d love to hear from you.
