Cyber Security Specialist - 12 month contract - Government Services - DV Clearance - Glasgow Hybrid - UK travel

Are you passionate about protecting critical infrastructure and enabling secure digital transformation? We’re looking for a skilled Cyber Security Specialist to join a growing team working at the forefront of national security and resilience.

This is a unique opportunity to apply your cyber expertise in a high-trust environment, supporting the development and implementation of secure systems and networks across government and industry. You’ll work closely with technical architects and senior stakeholders to assess risks, guide security solutions, and ensure compliance with recognised frameworks such as NIST, ISO, and CAF.

Due to the nature and the urgency of the project, candidates with active DV clearance would be preferred.

I am therefore keen to speak with candidates who have

  • A background in cyber security analysis, risk assessment, and security control evaluation, ideally within government departments
  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in written communication.
  • Experience managing sensitive equipment and responding to security incidents.
  • Confident in delivering training and presentations.
  • Working knowledge of Control Frameworks, NIST and IS4 would be an advantage
  • Membership of relevant professional bodies (e.g. BCS, Security Institute)
