Recruit Cumbria Limited is seeking a Cyber Essentials Basic Assessor to guide clients through the certification process. You will conduct assessments, provide remediation guidance, and support in achieving certification.

Role requires strong report writing, independence and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams. Hybrid role with pension and paid leave benefits offered.

Competenze

• Certified Cyber Essentials / Cyber Essentials Plus assessor.
• Strong understanding of NCSC guidance and UK government standards.
• Experience in IT systems assessment, vulnerability scanning and risk analysis.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
• 3+ years in information security, tech or compliance.
• IASME CE Basic Assessor qualification with company support if not yet certified.
• Full clean driving licence.

Our client is a UK-based cyber security consultancy specialising in Cyber Essentials, Penetration Testing, Defence Cyber Certification, ISO 27001, and cyber security training. They help public sector organisations and private clients manage risk, achieve compliance, and improve resilience.

Role Overview

They are seeking a Cyber Essentials Basic Assessor to guide organisations through the Cyber Essentials certification process. You will conduct assessments, provide actionable remediation advice, and support clients in achieving certification.

Key Responsibilities

• Cyber Essentials Basic assessments for multiple clients
• Conduct IT systems gap analysis and vulnerability checks
• Provide guidance on remediation and compliance with NCSC guidance
• Prepare reports and support documentation for certification
• Ensure assessments follow best practice
• Respond to customer queries

Skills & Experience

• Certified Cyber Essentials / Cyber Essentials Plus assessor
• Strong understanding of NCSC guidance, cyber security controls, and UK Government standards
• Experience in IT systems assessment, vulnerability scanning, and risk analysis
• Excellent report writing and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
• Required Qualifications / Experience:
• 3 Years' experience working in the Information Security, tech or compliance industry.
• IASME Cyber Essentials Basic Assessor – Successful candidates who are not already a Certified Cyber Essentials Assessor will be expected to obtain these qualifications, with our support, within their first 2 months of employment.
• Full clean driving license
