A leading cyber security firm is seeking a Cyber Security Design Assurance Analyst to provide technical assurance across multiple projects. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree and experience in cyber security or networking, focusing on reviewing designs and ensuring compliance with security standards. This hybrid role is based in the UK with a salary range of £35k to £45k, plus a bonus.

Role Title: Cyber Security Design Assurance Analyst

Location: Ipswich/Leeds/London/Glasgow/Northampton (must be able to travel easily to any of these areas)

Office Requirements: Hybrid working (very flexible)

Salary: £35k - £45K + 7.5% bonus

Are you a Cyber Security enthusiast with excellent attention to detail and a risk-averse mindset who might be interested in your next role?

As the Cyber Security Design Assurance Analyst, you will be providing global technical assurance to architects, engineers and project managers, working across multiple complex project‑related pieces of work at once.

We do need you to have a degree of technical expertise, either in a cyber security role or an infrastructure/networking role in the past, with the ability to pick up cyber security standards and frameworks.

Responsibilities
  • Review the security elements of new and existing systems to ensure designs meet required assurance standards.
  • Help define, document and verify security requirements throughout project and change processes.
  • Examine solution designs, architecture diagrams and supporting evidence to spot potential risks, weaknesses or areas lacking alignment.
  • Offer clear, structured guidance and suggestions to strengthen the security of proposed designs and technical implementations.
  • Take part in design assurance sessions and contribute to discussions that assess and prioritise security risks.
  • Assist with threat modelling activities to identify important risks early in the project lifecycle.
  • Keep assurance documentation up to date, including risk logs, assessment summaries and progress on remediation actions.
