Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Production Operative to support the First Minder in the safe, efficient operation of cut and crease machinery. You will assist with setup, material handling, and quality checks while maintaining high housekeeping and safety standards.

In this role you will work across Production, Quality, Engineering, and Logistics to meet targets, reduce waste, and ensure products meet customer specifications.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing or production environment experience.
• Forklift licence or material handling experience.
• Experience operating cut and crease equipment.
• Packaging, print, or carton manufacturing experience.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Good attention to detail and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist the First Minder in setting up and operating cut and crease machines.
• Prepare tooling, materials, and consumables for planned production runs.
• Feed board and materials into the production process safely and efficiently.
• Support machine make-readies to minimise downtime and maximise productivity.
• Remove finished products from the machine and prepare for the next production stage.
• Monitor machine performance and report issues affecting productivity or quality.
• Maintain production records accurately and in a timely manner.
