A leading discount supermarket chain in the UK is seeking a Customs Consultant to oversee customs compliance and support import/export operations. You will work closely with various teams to maintain compliance with regulations, manage audits, and enhance processes. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in International Trade Compliance and have significant experience with SAP GTS and project management.

Our customs department has an exciting opportunity for a Customs Consultant / Business process expert to join the team. As the Customs Consultant, you'll have responsibility for the successful operation of the Customs team systems and audit dashboard, working closely with our Parent company Schwarz group solutions team , Customs Team Manager and Tax colleagues at Lidl GB.
You'll be advising and supporting the compliance of import supply chain activities and customs broker KPI reporting & ensuring full compliance with all HMRC / Border rules and regulations.
Over time you'll be expected to further develop and maintain the Customs audit and Excise reporting of the business to provide an outstanding level of service externally to our customers and internally to all stakeholders.
You’ll have a wide range of duties that deal with each step of the Import and Export process.
Most importantly you will be the consultant lead working closely with our Schwarz team to design and deliver on key system projects and development to support our ambitious and continued growth here at Lidl UK .
