Customs Clearance Coordinator - Manchester

Location: Manchester

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum + Yearly Performance Bonus + Excellent Benefits

We're working with a well-established logistics and freight forwarding business seeking an experienced Customs Clearance Coordinator to join their growing team in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of customs processes who enjoys working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and process customs documentation for import and export shipments
  • Ensure all customs declarations comply with current HMRC regulations
  • Liaise with internal departments, clients, and customs authorities to ensure smooth cargo clearance
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely submission of documentation
  • Resolve any clearance issues quickly and effectively
Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience in a customs clearance or freight forwarding role
  • Strong knowledge of import/export procedures and customs systems (e.g., CDS/CHIEF)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Confident communicator with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software
  • A proactive, reliable team player
