Job summary

Co-op Market Place in St Columb Major is seeking a Customer Team Member to join our local store team. The role involves opening shifts from early morning, with at least one weekend shift, and regular overtime in a part-time contract.

Training is fully paid, and you may work across the store, bakery, post office, or online order-picking tasks as needed. You will help keep shelves stocked, assist customers, promote Co-op Membership, and support community initiatives while contributing to daily

• An interest in retail and working in a busy store environment (experience not essential).

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly and thoughtful service to customers on the shop floor and tills.

Customer Team Member

Location: Market Place , St Columb Major, TR9 6AL

Pay: £13.04 per hour

Contract: 16 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent contract, part time

Working pattern: Opening shifts, 6am starts through to early afternoon. Will include at least 1 weekend shift which will require flexible availability. Additional availability can be discussed at interview. Role will include working in our in-store bakery

We’re looking for Customer Team Members to join our team at Co-op, join us and play a key role in delivering friendly, helpful service in your local Co-op store.

As a Customer Team Member, you’ll work as part of a friendly team in a fast-moving Co-op store, helping deliver essential services to your community every day. Depending on your store, this could involve working in our post office, or bakery, or helping with online services by picking and packing orders for home delivery. Whatever the day brings, you'll play a key role in making life easier for our customers.

What you'll do:

• Support the day-to-day running of the store by delivering friendly and thoughtful service, helping to put things right when needed
• Work with your team to keep the store running smoothly
• Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, and in our in-store bakery, and contribute to daily operations to create a great shopping experience
• Help maintain store performance by keeping shelves stocked and checking prices, dates, and stock accuracy
• Make sure the store safe and legal - keep the shelves stocked and make sure prices, dates, and temperatures are all as they should be
• Promote Co-op Membership and support your local community
