Job summary

Co-op in Glenrothes is seeking a part-time Store Assistant to join our community-focused team. You’ll help with daily store operations, keep shelves stocked, handle tills, and provide friendly customer service.

The role includes a mix of opening, middle, and closing shifts with some weekend work, and full training is provided. Join us to promote Co-op Membership and support local charities and customers while enjoying flexible hours and a friendly team environment.

• A genuine passion for helping people and delivering great customer service.
• The ability to work flexibly across a number of shifts and as part of a team.
• An interest in retail and working in a busy store environment (experience not essential).

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day running of the store by delivering friendly and thoughtful service, helping to put things right when needed
• Work with your team to keep the store running smoothly
• Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, and contribute to daily operations to create a great shopping experience
• Help maintain store performance by keeping shelves stocked and checking prices, dates, and stock accuracy
• Make sure the store safe and legal - keep the shelves stocked and make sure prices, dates, and temperatures are all as they should be
• Promote Co-op Membership and support your local community

Job description

Location: 7 Cadham Shopping Centre Cadham, Glenrothes, KY7 6RJ

Pay: £13.04 per hour

Contract: 16 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent contract, part time

Working pattern: A mix of opening shifts, middle shifts, and closing shifts. At least 2 shifts will be closing and at least 1 will be at the weekend. We're happy to discuss your availability further at interview.
