Job summary

Co-op Derby is looking for a Customer Team Member to join our local Co-op store at Oakwood Centre. You’ll work as part of a friendly team on the shop floor and tills, delivering friendly, helpful service and keeping shelves stocked.

You’ll be a familiar face in the community, helping customers and contributing to a smooth shopping experience. This role offers full, paid training and a permanent part-time contract of 12 hours per week with regular overtime.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for helping people and delivering great customer service.
• Ability to work flexibly across a number of shifts and as part of a team.
• Interest in retail and working in a busy store environment (experience not essential).

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day running of the store by delivering friendly and thoughtful service.
• Work with your team to keep the store running smoothly.
• Handle till duties and help with daily operations to create a great shopping experience.
• Keep shelves stocked, check prices and stock accuracy.
• Ensure store safety and legality, monitor prices and temperatures as required.
• Promote Co-op Membership and support the local community.

Customer Team Member

Location: Oakwood Centre Danebridge Crecent, Derby, DE21 2HT

Pay: £13.04 per hour

Contract: 12 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent contract, part time

Working pattern: A mix of opening shifts, middle shifts, and closing shifts. At least 2 shifts will be closing and at least 1 will be at the weekend. We’re happy to discuss your availability further at interview.

We’re looking for Customer Team Members to join our team at Co-op, join us and play a key role in delivering friendly, helpful service in your local Co-op store.

As a Customer Team Member, you’ll work as part of a friendly team in a fast-moving Co-op store, helping deliver essential services to your community every day. Depending on your store, this could involve working in our post office, or bakery, or helping with online services by picking and packing orders for home delivery. Whatever the day brings, you’ll play a key role in making life easier for our customers.
