Job summary

Co-op is seeking a Customer Team Member in Dornoch to provide friendly, helpful service across the store, post office, bakery, and home-delivery orders. You’ll help customers find what they need and ensure a smooth shopping experience.

The role is part-time (16 hours per week) with regular overtime, offering full paid training and opportunities to join a community-focused team. You’ll be part of a store that values member ownership and local impact.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day running of the store by delivering friendly and thoughtful service, helping to put things right when needed.
• Work with your team to keep the store running smoothly.
• Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, and contribute to daily operations to create a great shopping experience.
• Help maintain store performance by keeping shelves stocked and checking prices, dates, and stock accuracy.
• Make sure the store is safe and legal – keep the shelves stocked and make sure prices, dates, and temperatures are all as they should be.
• Promote Co-op Membership and support your local community.

Customer Team Member

Location: Cathedral Square , Dornoch, IV25 3SJ

Pay: £13.04 per hour

Contract: 16 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent contract, part time

Working pattern: A mix of opening shifts, middle shifts, and closing shifts. At least 2 shifts will be closing and at least 1 will be at the weekend. We’re happy to discuss your availability further at interview.

We’re looking for Customer Team Members to join our team at Co-op, join us and play a key role in delivering friendly, helpful service in your local Co-op store.

As a Customer Team Member, you’ll work as part of a friendly team in a fast-moving Co-op store, helping deliver essential services to your community every day. Depending on your store, this could involve working in our post office, or bakery, or helping with online services by picking and packing orders for home delivery. Whatever the day brings, you'll play a key role in making life easier for our customers.
