Job summary

Co-op is seeking a Customer Team Member to join our store in a fast-moving environment. You will deliver friendly service, assist customers, and contribute to daily operations on the shop floor and tills.

We offer full training, a mix of opening/middle/closing shifts, and regular overtime for a part-time role. You’ll help stock shelves, support local and national charity initiatives, and promote Co-op Membership to customers.

Qualifications

• Passion for helping people and delivering great service.
• Ability to work flexibly across a number of shifts and as part of a team.
• Interest in retail and working in a busy store environment (experience not essential).

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly and thoughtful service to customers and help put things right when needed.
• Work with your team to keep the store running smoothly.
• Operate on the shop floor and tills to support daily operations and a great shopping experience.
• Maintain store standards by stocking shelves, checking prices, dates, and stock accuracy.
• Ensure the store is safe and compliant with policies, prices, dates, and temperatures.
• Promote Co-op Membership and support the local community.

Customer Team Member

Location: 38 Commercial Road , Skelmanthorpe, HD8 9DA

Pay: £13.04 per hour

Contract: 15 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent contract, part time

Working pattern: A mix of opening shifts, middle shifts, and closing shifts. At least 2 shifts will be closing and at least 1 will be at the weekend. We’re happy to discuss your availability further at interview.

We’re looking for Customer Team Members to join our team at Co-op, join us and play a key role in delivering friendly, helpful service in your local Co-op store.

As a Customer Team Member, you’ll work as part of a friendly team in a fast-moving Co-op store, helping deliver essential services to your community every day. Depending on your store, this could involve working in our post office, or bakery, or helping with online services by picking and packing orders for home delivery. Whatever the day brings, you’ll play a key role in making life easier for our customers.
