Job summary

Co-op in Portishead is hiring a Customer Team Member to join our store. You will work as part of a friendly team delivering friendly, helpful service on the shop floor, tills, and with post office or online orders.

Full, paid training provided. We offer early, middle, and closing shifts, including weekends, for a permanent part-time role (8 hours per week with regular overtime).

Job description

Customer Team Member Location: 109 Avon Way , Portishead, BS20 6LT Pay: £13.04 per hour Contract: 8 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent contract, part time Working pattern: A mix of opening shifts from
6.45am, middle shifts, and closing shifts to 10pm.

At least 2 shifts will be closing and at least 1 will be at the weekend.

Full, paid training provided We're looking for Customer Team Members to join our team at Co-op, join us and play a key role in delivering friendly, helpful service in your local Co-op store.

As a Customer Team Member, you'll work as part of a friendly team in a fast-moving Co-op store, helping deliver essential services to your community every day.

Depending on your store, this could involve working in our post office, or bakery, or helping with online services by picking and packing orders for home delivery.

Whatever the day brings, you'll play a key role in making life easier for our customers.

You'll be a familiar face in the community, getting to know your customers and helping us stay connected with local and national charities.

What you'll do:

• Support the day-to-day running of the store by delivering friendly and thoughtful service, helping to put things right when needed
• Work with your team to keep the store running smoothly
• Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, and contribute to daily operations to create a great shopping experience
• Help maintain store performance by keeping shelves stocked and checking prices, dates, and stock accuracy
• Make sure the store safe and legal
• keep the shelves stocked and make sure prices, dates, and temperatures are all as they should be

• The ability to work flexibly across a number of shifts and as part of a team
• An interest in retail and working in a busy store environment (experience not essential)
